AdvertWizard Announces First European Global and Category
Targeting for All Online Advertisers
Embargo - July 24, 2001 EURO - AdvertWizard.com, the UK based website promotion service, has today announced the introduction of sophisticated geographical and category content ad targeting tools for online campaigns.
AdvertWizard.com, part of On-Line PLC, is the first service within Europe to offer advanced media buying facilities to all advertisers, regardless of size or budget.
People buying campaigns on the AdvertWizard Network will be able to target their online ads based on the geographic location of individual users. This means that European businesses will now be able to focus on and create country specific campaigns for the first time. This cutting edge technology removes the hit and hope of advertising on a site and enables specific country targeting.
Initial countries that can be targeted will be the UK, US, Canada, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Australia, Japan and China.
InfoScope, by US based NetGeo enables AdvertWizard to look at the Internet Protocol (IP) address of each user viewing and ad, resolve their location by querying the IP address against the Infoscope database, which returns a country location and allows the AdvertWizard Network to deliver ads that are targeted against that country.
In addition, users will be able to further refine their target markets by selecting relevant site content, both in terms of broad channels and new specific categories as well.
The introduction of geographical targeting follows the announcement made last month by AdvertWizard on plans to launch a dedicated media buyer portal. These developments will build upon their already rapid adoption across Europe by both the SME sector and the agency media buying communities.
